The Worst Toile in Scotland, 2013
This mini collection explores the themes of Trainspotting. Using a laser cutting machine, suedette is engraved with scenes from the cult film, leaving an imprint on fabric, symbolic to the characters addictions.
Silhouettes are oversized; wide-legged trousers and non-structured coats drown the wearer, referencing that iconic scene of Renton in the carpet. The pink tones of the collection represent the vibrancy of the story, while the shades of grey reference the subdued locations and darker themes of the film.
